to connect and manage your server directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In this article, we will cover:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Step by step how you can load PuTTY correctly <\/li><li>Set up your tunnel to launch SSH into your server<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements to Install PuTTY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your SSH login credentials<\/li><li>Familiaraty with connecting to your server via SSH<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Install PuTTY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can quickly download PuTTY and easily install it at: https:\/\/www.chiark.greenend.org.uk\/~sgtatham\/putty\/latest.html<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2:  Connect to your Bare Metal Server using PuTTY<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you open PuTTY, It&#8217;ll promote you to enter your connection settings to begin logging into your server via SSH.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Enter your connection settings:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Host Name: example.com or 0.0.0.0 (this is an example, and you should replace it with your FQDN or IP)<br>Port: 22 (leave as default)<br>Connection Type: SSH (Also, leave as default)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have filled that in click the Open button to begin your session!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional tips<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If this is your first time connecting to the server from this computer, you will see the following output. <br>Accept the connection by clicking &#8220;Yes.&#8221;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the SSH Connection is open, you should see a terminal prompt asking for your username:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">login as:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Connect with your SSH user of choice.<\/li><li>Enter your password.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You are now logged into your server with SSH while using
